  • Day 1 Lima
    • Reception at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
    • Overnight at selected hotel at Lima.
  • Day 2 Lima - City tour
    • A visit to the modern and colonial parts of the city of Lima the "City of Kings", starting in the districts of Miraflores and San Isidro. The road passes (panoramic view) a Huaca or sacred pre-Inca site. There will then be a stop at Parque del Amor (Lovers Park) in Miraflores for its magnificent view over the Pacific Ocean.
    • The tour also includes the Historic Centre based on the Main Square, where the Presidential Palace, the Archbishop´s Palace, the Municipality of Lima and the Cathedral are located. You will make a stop at a Chocolate Museum where you will see the transformation of cocoa into delicious products.
    • Later on, you will visit Santo Domingo convent, declared cultural heritage of humanity. This place keeps the remains of our patron saints: Martin de Porres and Rosa de Lima.
    • Overnight at selected hotel at Lima.

  • Day 3 Lima – Arequipa
    • Transfer to Lima airport to take the flight to Arequipa.
    • Upon your arrival, reception and transfer to your hotel.
    • You will have around 3 hours tour on Arequipa’s city, also known as the White City, during this tour we will show you all the charms of its main streets and colonial buildings like: main square, the cathedral, churches and religious cloisters, also Santa Catalina convent, which is a city within the city – built on the XVI century and closed to the public for almost 400 years until 1970, and it’s still home of a few nuns. The tour continues to the church and Square of San Francisco and Yanahuara area which has a famous lookout where you will have a complete view of the city and enjoy a spectacular view of the Misti Volcano.

  • Day 4 Arequipa – Colca Canyon
    • Departure to Colca Valley located over 3,500 meters above the sea. On the way you will cross the Aguada Blanca and Salinas National Reserve, with the highest presence of Andean flora and fauna. The trip continues to Tojra wetlands. Later you will cross Patapampa which is a land located over 4,800 meters above the sea where you will find the “Mirador de los Andes”, a strategic point to see the cordillera Chila with great volcanoes: Mismi, Chucura, Huaracante, and far away the Ubinas, Misti, Chachani, Ampato, Sabancaya and Hualca Hualca. Continue towards Chivay town.
    • Overnight at selected hotel at Chivay.
    • Included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Day 5 Colca Canyon
    • After breakfast, you will start the journey through the main towns of the valley until reaching Yanque, where you will appreciate its typical dances, then a short visit to its site museum that exhibits a collection of textiles. You can also choose for a short walk along a path at the edge of the canyon. Then, departure towards “La Cruz del Condor”, the best spot to observe the deepness of the canyon of 11,155 ft. deep and 124 miles long and also the place from where almost always is possible to see the majestic fly of the condor. On the way back visit some very interesting typical towns, pre-inca hanging tombs and terraces. Transfer to Cabanaconde town where you will visit the main square and San Pedro de Alcántara church.

  • Day 6 Colca Canyon - Puno
    • After breakfast you will visit the village of Coporaque ruins of Uyu Uyu, impressive pre Inca terraces.
    • At appropriate time you will be transferred to Puno.
    • Upon your arrival, meeting on the bus station and transfer to your hotel.
    • Overnight at selected hotel at Puno.
    • Included: Breakfast, lunch.
  • Day 7 Puno - Uros - Llachon - Puno
    • You will take a 40 minutes trip to Uros floating islands. These islands are occupied by people known as the "Water Tribe" because they have built their own "Islands" by adding periodically new layers of "Totora" a type of marram-grass very typical from this place. There you will have the opportunity to navigate a typical "totora" boat. Then, you will continue your trip to Capachica Peninsula to visit the rural community of Llachón.
    • Llachón has a diverse and unique characteristic of alive culture, biodiversity and archaeological resources with a strategic location within the peninsula. Here you will have a personal contact, and the opportunity to enjoy the physical and human environment, to participate in activities, traditions and life styles of the local population. For this reason, you will visit one of the families to share lunch prepared by the villagers, an unforgettable life experience and also you will have the opportunity to wear typical dresses and learn their customs.
    • At appropriate time you will be transferred back to Puno.
    • Overnight at selected hotel at Puno.
    • Included: Breakfast, lunch.
  • Day 8 Puno - Cusco
    • At the appropriate time, transfer to the bus station.
    • Departure for an eight hours trip towards Cusco, the Inka Express bus will stop in some interesting places such as Raqchy Temple and some old Inca constructions. You will contemplate marvelous landscapes and typical animals like the "llama", "alpaca" that will make of your journey an unforgettable one.
    • Transfer from the bus station to the hotel.
    • Overnight at selected hotel at Cusco.
    • Included: Breakfast, lunch.
  • Day 9 Cusco - Sacred Valley
    • Get to know the Sacred Valley. Stop at Racchi vantage point to admire the beautiful natural scenery. You will also go to Moray to see the enormous circular terraces that were used by the Incas as a botanical laboratory. This is followed by the Maras salt pans, which produce the finest salt in the world, used by great international chefs. A delicious lunch will be served in a local restaurant. After lunch you will continue to Ollantaytambo, one of the most imposing building complexes of the Inca Empire and the site of one of the Spanish Conquistadors' rare strategic defeats. Famous for its terraced fields (cut into the hillsides), Ollantaytambo was an effective fortress as well as a religious centre. Finally, a visit to the village of Ollantaytambo, the only “living Inca town” and the best remaining example of Inca urban planning, with stone-paved streets that have been continuously inhabited since the 13th Century.

  • Day 10 Sacred Valley - Machu Picchu
    • Free afternoon to rest and acclimatize
    • Transfer to Ollantaytambo train station to take the ride to Machu Picchu town.
    • Overnight at selected hotel in Machu Picchu.
    • Included: Breakfast, lunch.
  • Day 11 Machu Picchu - Cusco
    • VISIT TO MACHU PICCHU
    • You will start your Machu Picchu day excursion with a private guide. The citadel is a renowned example of the Inca’s architecture, surrounded by an amazing landscape of lush forest. Lost in history, Machu Picchu was not discovered until 1911 by the American explorer Hiram Bingham, but was built in the middle of XV century. The name of the citadel comes from the Quechua language that means “Old Mountain” and apparently was the principal Inca’s Sanctuary.
    • At the appointed time, you will return to the station to take your train ride back to Cusco.
    • Transfer from the train station to the hotel in Cusco.
    • Overnight at selected hotel at Cusco.

  • Day 12 Cusco - City tour
    • Transfer to Lima airport.
    • Upon your arrival at the airport you will be transferred to your hotel.
    • Get to know the city of Cusco, an UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site and possessor of a style on its own. The tour begins at the Koricancha Temple, an old Incan palace and main center for the worship of the sun god, Inti. Once the Spanish conquered Peru, the Dominican order built a lovely church over top this temple’s foundations: the church of Santo Domingo that is still there today. Your next destination is the Main Square, and then the adventure continues at the Sacsayhuaman Fortress built of enormous stone blocks expertly shaped by the Incas. It is strategically located at the top of a hill overlooking Cusco. What a view of the city! The tour continues with visits to three archeological sites: “Qenko, Puca-Pucara, and Tambomachay”, important religious and administrative centers for the Incas. Finally you will visit an art workshop named “Inkas Expression” that presents artists working on silver pieces and painting in wood. This is an ideal place for the ones who like andean art.

  • Day 13 Cusco – Puerto Maldonado lodge
    • Transfer from the hotel to the airport.
    • Flight to Puerto Maldonado.
    • POSADA AMAZONAS
    • Transfer Airport to Puerto Maldonado's office:
    • Upon your arrival, we will welcome you at the airport and drive you ten minutes to our Puerto Maldonado office. While enjoying your first view of the forest in our gardens we will ask you to pack only the necessary outfit for your next few days and leave the rest at our safe deposit. This helps us to keep the boats and cargo light.
    • Puerto Maldonado to Tambopata River Port:
    • Bordering Puerto Maldonado, we will drive you 20 kilometers to the Tambopata River Port, to enter the Native Community of Infierno. Boxed Lunch.
    • Tambopata River Port to Posada Amazonas:
    • A forty five minute boat ride from Tambopata Port to Posada Amazonas will take you into the First Communities of the Forest Private Reserve.
    • Briefing:
    • Upon your arrival, the lodge manager will welcome you and give you a brief about navigation and security tips.
    • Canopy Tower:
    • You will have a twenty minute walk from Posada Amazonas to the scaffolding of the 30 meters canopy tower. A staircase with bannister goes across the middle which provides safe access to the platforms located above. From the top you will have a spectacular panoramic view of the forest and the Tambopata River. Toucans, parrots or macaws are seen flying on the horizon or mixed species will land in the treetop very near from where you will be.
    • Finally, you will enjoy a delicious Dinner.
    • Ecotourism Lecture: The lodge offers a daily presentation of the ecotourism project of Infierno which is exposed by a member of the staff.
    • Overnight at Posada Amazonas.
    • Included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Day 14 Puerto Maldonado lodge
    • TRES CHIMBADAS OXBOW LAKE, PARROT CLAY LICK & ETHNOBOTANICAL TOUR
    • Lake Tres Chimbadas:
    • Tres Chimbadas is located at thirty minutes by boat and forty five minutes hiking from Posada Amazonas. Once you get there you will paddle around the lake on board a catamaran, searching for the resident family of nine giant river otters (seen by 60% of our lake visitors) and other lakeside wildlife such as caiman.
    • Parrot Clay Lick:
    • This clay lick is located only at twenty minute walk from Posada Amazonas. From a hidden place located about twenty meters away where you will see dozens of parrots and parakeets descending on the clear mornings to ingest the clay from the river bank. This event is appreciated most actively at dawn, during the late-morning and mid-afternoon. Lunch.
    • Ethno botanical Tour:
    • A twenty minute ride on board a boat will drive you down the river leads you to a trail designed by the staff of the Centro Ñape. The Centro Ñape is a communal organization that produces medicines out of forest plants and manages them to the patients who choose their little hospital. They have a trail system that shows the plants they use for medicine as well as other plants for different uses. Dinner.
    • Night walk: You will have the option of hiking out at night, when most of the mammals are awake but rarely seen. Much easier is to find rare frogs with different shapes and sounds as bizarre as their natural histories.
    • Included: Breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • Day 15 Puerto Maldonado lodge - Lima
    • LAST DAY IN THE JUNGLE
    • After breakfast a boat will transfer you from Posada Amazonas to our Puerto Maldonado office and then to the airport.
    • Flight to Lima.
    • Transfer to the selected hotel.
    • Overnight at selected hotel in Lima.
    • Included: Breakfast.
  • Day 16 Lima
    • Transfer to the airport for your international flight back home.
